The Entertainment Fun Fair Area, which is sure to attract thousands of people, has a variety of exciting games and adventurous rides in store. These games are carefully selected and safety standards are applied and rides suit people of different age groups.

The Stage Entertainment

A daily attraction are the stage shows. A big crowd-puller is the spectacular free-for-all arm-wrestling matches and the kiddies talent contests.

More than 50 performers drawn from across the country and a few of international fame are expected to entertain the crowds. Performers will entertain on stage, mingle with visitors, and autograph their CDs.

These were the exceptional entertainers that enthralled the crowds at Souk 2008:

Abdullah Rolle (a British artist who also produces audio lectures for Al-Quran Society and worked in the community including the Islamic Shariah Council.

Arief Subrathi (Durban based naath reciter)

Iman (A younger and energetic nasheed group from Cape Town)

Junaid Jamshed (a famous Pakistani recording naath / nasheed artist)

Moulana Tahier Mahomed (a melodius reciter from Cape Town)

Nujumul Layl (three talented young Muslimas from Gauteng)

Waahid (a Durban based nasheed group)
