
The Entertainment Fun Fair Area, which is sure to attract thousands
of people, has a variety of exciting games and adventurous rides
in store. These games are carefully selected and safety standards
are applied and rides suit people of different age groups.
The Stage Entertainment
A daily attraction is the stage shows. A big crowd-puller
is the spectacular comedy showcases.

Waahid (a Durban based nasheed group)
Shaheed Al Kawn (Durban based comedian)
Qariyah Sharifah Khasif (Hafizah and Qariah from Malaysia)
Ahmed Bukhatir (World-renowned nasheed artist, Ahmed Bukhatir who
hails from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates)
Khaleel Muhammad (UK based nasheed artist)
Moazzam Begg (Director of Cageprisoners)
William Rodriguez (former janitor of the World Trade Center in
New York)
Souk Attractions 2011
UNIC is a traditional Malaysian & Arabic nasheed group from
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Qadri Brothers – Hafiz Tahir and Hafiz Muhammad Ahsan from
Pakistan have toured the world, and have become a familiar voice
on international TV and radio stations. They are best known for
the “Ma Ki Dua” naath.
Qamar Fareedi hails from Pakistan. He recites in Punjabi and Urdu.
First tour to Durban, South Africa.
WAAHID is South Africa’s famous nasheed group.
Areef Subrathie, Naeem Sheik Hameed and Saleem Razak are some of
the local talent that will perform daily at the Souk
EKMA Productions – Family comedy play “On Common Grounds”.
Essop Khan & Mahomed Alli’s EKMA production company showcases
a cast of talented actors, performing on an international scale.
The play will most definitely tickle your funny bone.
“The 31st Concert” will be an event to remember with
nasheed performances from 2pm until 2am. Artists and comedians from
around the world will be singing and entertaining audiences throughout
the day/night making it the longest Nasheed Show ever! The entrance
fee on the 31st will includes a Nasheed Extravaganza. Spend the
last day of 2011 in the company of renowned artists and take delight
in an “Islamic Alternative”.
